Privacy Policy
Capybara Hot Spring (“the game”) is made by Wood Interactive, the independent studio of Matthew Wood. This policy explains what information the game uses and why. In short: the game itself collects nothing about you, and the ads inside it are provided by Google.
Information that stays on your device
Your progress, collection, settings, the name you enter, and your best times are stored only on your iPhone. They are not sent to the developer or to anyone else. Deleting the app removes them.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game shows ads using Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect:
- Your device’s advertising identifier, if you allow tracking
- Approximate location based on your IP address
- Information about the ads you see and tap
- Crash and performance information from the ad software
The game asks for your permission before tracking, using Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you say no, you still see ads, but they aren’t based on your activity in other apps. In the EU, UK and other regions where the law requires it, Google’s consent form is shown first, and you can change your choice later in the game under Settings › Ad privacy choices.

Game Center
If you sign in to Game Center, your scores, achievements and Game Center nickname are sent to Apple to run the leaderboards. Apple handles this under the Apple Privacy Policy. The developer can see leaderboard entries but nothing else about your account.
Purchases
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. The developer never receives your name, email address or payment details.
Children
The game is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents can turn off personalized ads on a child’s device under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking and can limit purchases with Screen Time.
Your choices
- Turn tracking on or off in iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Review ad consent in the game under Settings › Ad privacy choices.
- Remove all game data by deleting the app.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
